![]() ![]() The two jacuzzis were a fantastic addition too. It wasn't too busy and there was always a sun lounger available. The Hotel - The staff were friendly enough, we spent most of our days on the rooftop terrace, which was great. A bit of advise - it is best to get there for lunch/dinner when the doors open, as the food is hot, otherwise I found it to be a bit lukewarm. All in all the food is ok at the hotel, I'm just glad we only had a week, as two weeks then I would be eating out every night. The food was gorgeous, I would definately recommend. ![]() If you fancy a change one night, and want a nice hot meal, we went to the Orient Express in Lloret, which was fantastic. Lunch and Dinner were ok, you would ALWAYS find something to eat, and there was a variety of foods. I would advise you to have a walk into Lloret, as on route you have the Hungry Horse, which served a fab Full English breakfast for 7/8 euros, which would fill the gap. ![]() It was pretty vile to look at, especially the sausages (very strange shape!!). Yes, the cleaners could be noisy at times, but WHO CARES!! The Food - We only had breakfast on the last day and thank god we didn't bother getting up all week for it,as we missed out on nothing. The room was cleaned daily, with clean linen and towels, which was great. I would advise to bring your own hairdryer. I have to say the shower was great, as there was always hot water and it was like a power shower. The room was big enough for two people, and for our luggage. However for the price we paid, it was fine. We booked the Royal Beach last minute for £280 all inclusive, and to be honest I was slightly concerned at the reviews too. I wouldn't suggest this hotel for "coupley" holidays or a romantic break!!!! Not a bad hotel just for a weekend away but it's about a 15/20 minute walk to the centre of Lloret de Mar where all the bars and clubs are. My advice if staying here is don't pay all inclusive as there is a restaurant across the road called Roxy's which is very cheap and although not great food is a whole lot better than the food in the hotel (plus they do great cocktails!!!) Unless you have boxing gloves do not be tempted into the Robin Hood pub across the road either!!! Warning for the party goers who are going to stay at this hotel, you have to be as quiet as a mouse when you are coming back in after a night out or the "Hotel Polizia" will chase you to your room and they patrol the corridors like your on a school camp!! There was quite a lot of nose in the early hours but as long as you've not taken ur kids then it's fine. The dining room looked like a school dinner hall, we never ate there as it all just looked horrid. Shower was great proper power shower and the bathrooms were clean. The hotel was overall pretty clean and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed linen but this is no way a 4 star hotel. Just returned from a long weekend with the girls in Lloret de Mar. Food was reasonable, room was reasonable and clean, not the sort of place you would want to stay a fortnight, but you could handle a week I guess. Book it Direct Save a Bundle of Money Overal the Hotel was OK, not really 4 star, we stayed height of season pool very crowded, sunbeds touching each other in long ranks of 20 plus, be prepared to get know the person laying at the side of you!. Despite several Phonecalls to Medinland knowone from the resort helpline even had the courtesy to phone us back. The Travel Agent Medinland let us down badly and I would strongly recommend that you book the holiday yourself making use of the cheap Ryanair flights and the resorthopper bus service. It was not until a whole 17 hrs later we finally managed to get to stay at the Royal Beach. The ryanair flight was from bournemouth and was delayed 8 hrs when we finally arrived at the destination at 5am with two small children on tow we found there was no rooom available so we were carted off to a nearby self catering accomodation. We stayed at this hotel In August and booked from Teletext with a Co called Medinland. ![]()
